Picked up my new 2006 JP X-Cte 135l FWS last night. Purchase it from Riks Windsurfing complete with a ding in the bottom of it that fucked me off. What could I do? Send it back? The hassle would have killed me so decided to ding stick it myself. Pisses you off though when you get something new that costs a bomb and its damaged before you open it.

Anyway, went to Brogborough to buy some ding stick and took all my kit with me as well just in case there looked like some wind. OK there wasn't much of it but when you've got a new board you can't just ignore it. Anyway, purchased said ding stick and stuck some in the hole on the bottom of the JP. Left it for an hour while I rigged up and got changed etc then went out.

I'd ridden the 150l JP X-Cite in Dahab October 2004 and had my mind on getting one ever since. Went for the 135l though cause it would help me to improve.

Was out on the 8.0m Noa. About four other people windsurfing. Was there for about 4 hours as well, the wind wasn't too bad but sometimes there was NO wind at all and sometimes here would be F3. I even planed once which was superb on the new board, there was no way my techno would have planed in those conditions. It was fantastic though shortlived. Didn't fall in either and kept my hair dry which was nice.

The wind was all over the shop though, tracking upwind was difficult as at times you would go forward then you would be going backwards with the wind catching the wrong side of the sail.

Anyway had a fantastic day. Love my board. Might go back tomorrow. Loved Brog as well. Lovely lake a lot different to Queen Marys where I usually go. Also its nearer as well and means I dont have to use the fucking M25.

Only giving it three stars because of the wind really, otherwise it would get five stars because of new board and new location.
